This process allows you to import many cardholders from a CSV file. Before starting this process, you should create a CSV file (presumably by exporting from Banner, PeopleSoft, etc). Here's an example CSV file.
- On the CloudCard Admin homepage, click on the "People" button, which takes you to the Person Search page.
- On the Person Search page, click on "Bulk Import" at the top.
Click on "Choose File," and select a CSV file from your computer. Here's a sample file:
email,id tsmith@foo.edu,L1234 ajones@foo.edu,L2345 mwilson@foo.edu,L3456 njackson@foo.edu,L4567
Click "Upload" at the bottom left of the screen.
- On the Map CSV Fields page, check the box next to "Has header row?" if the CSV file has a header row, i.e. the "
email,id"
row in the first line of above example. A header row is now required. - Select the "Field" for each column of data.
- Click "" at the bottom left of the screen. Note: the import process can take several minutes.
- A status page will appear that will display the current status of the bulk import.
The import process can take several minutes or longer. Please allow 1 minute for every 50 cardholders. For example, 500 cardholders would take about 10 minutes to import.
